It also highlights “New and Note-worthy” items and the right hand side contains a list of resources.The following resources are especially helpful and not linked from anywhere else: PULSE Community Stories,PULSE Fellows Local Impact Map and PULSE Community OverviewPULSE Fellows Local Impact MapPULSE Community Overview ABOUT: This is where you can find information about the history of PULSE EVENTS: Current events open to Life Science Educators: any member of the PULSE Community can post an event GROUPS: There are a variety of groups and any member of the PULSE Community can start a group. Some are open (anyone can join) and others require an invitation from the person who started the group. The various regional network groups are grouped together in the Faculty Network Group. FORUM: This is a discussion board where any member of the PULSE Community can start a forum discussion.

3 ONLINE V&C TOOL KIT: is intended to put Life Sciences departments in touch with key resources relevant to their efforts to learn about and implement Vision and Change recommendations. The list of resources is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather to provide starting points for departmental discussions about V&C transformation. POWER ONLINE WORKSHOPS: provides you with information and resources that you can use to transform your lessons, courses, and department using the principles provided in the Vision and Change document. The information is presented in units that can be used as an online workshop or to develop face-to-face workshops. MEMBERS: This page contains the names of all of the PULSE Community Members. You can search using a variety of terms and can sort by Recently Added or Alphabetical. You can invite people to be your Friends. If you click on your inbox you can send people in the community a message. However you can only message people who are your friends. AMBASSADOR PROGRAM: is focused on building multiple teams of PULSE Ambassadors (visitation teams) equipped with a V&C reform toolbox. The role of the Ambassadors will be to meet with biology and life science departments to facilitate discussions that will aid them in implementing recommendations found in the Vision and Change Report (2011). 4 V&C CERTIFICATION: Here you can find information about the pilot certification program to assess the degree to which life sciences departments have adopted the principles outlined in the Vision and Change report. PULSE community members can engage with the work of life science departmental transformation by using the PULSE Vision & Change Rubric Data Collection Portal to enter data for their life sciences programs. You can also find and print the certification rubrics. BLOGS: This is a discussion board where any member of the PULSE Community can start a blog discussion. FILES: These are currently just links to other PULSE pages already described above VIRTUAL EVENTS: This page is for anyone wishing to post a presentation relevant to V&C and the PULSE movement. Feel free to embed videos or provide relevant links to such presentations. Currently there is an older PULSE Webinar with an overview of programs from June 2013 posted there.

7 Directions > Read the questions in your assigned topic > Review the PULSE resources for that topic to help you develop responses to the questions > Write a response to at least one of the questions in your topic > Comment on the resources- were they useful? What other resources would like to see/have access to? > Comment on the questions: are there other questions that you anticipate departments may ask? Report out to the larger group. Turn in your responses.
