The Basics Acting is responding to stimuli in imaginary circumstances in a dynamic manner that is stylistically true to time and place, so as to communicate ideas and emotions to an audience. Listening IS acting: the most important ability for and actor is listening. Listening involves all the senses: touch, feel, sight, sound, smell, intuitive and emotional, and experience of the past.

Scams to watch for Questionable Talent Agencies
If they advertise in the paper, TV, radio, ect Wanting to “test shoot” you for a fee Charging more than the actual cost of a product (like printing photos) Requiring you to “take classes” before work is secured Balance willingness with healthy amount of caution
