Press the Tab key to move from column to column. Press the Enter key to move down a row. Cell address The column and row number that identify a cell; also called a cell reference.

Range Two or more cells, either adjacent or nonadjacent, that are selected together; a colon between cell references indicates a range. The selected range is bordered in black. First cell of the range displays in the Name Box.

Formulas begin with the equal (=) sign. Function A prewritten formula. Formula An equation that performs mathematical calculations on number values on cells. SUM A prewritten formula that performs addition on the values in referenced cells, indicated by moving border.
