18 What do effective coaches… Know?  People must feel ownership for solutions to their problems. Do?  Question and paraphrase.  Cause coachee to clarify the problem, not just the symptoms.  Check assumptions.

19 What do effective coaches… Know?  Change is a process, not an event. Do?  Allow time.  Ensure consistency and follow-up.  Celebrate progress.  Provide data and time for reflection.

24 Coaching Observation Listen carefully and record examples of Basic Moves that are used. Compare your notes with a colleague. What feedback do you have for the coach?

25 Just Do It!  Review the Coaching Practice protocol.  Identify persons A, B, and C.  Listen for time cues.  Complete the process.  Give observation forms to each coach.
