4 Central Valley School District Strategic Plan Hiring Audit: Review of Hiring Process Occurred 2010-11 Purpose: CVSD desires an effective and efficient hiring process that ensures the hiring of employees who enrich and enhance the lives of students while improving achievement.

9 PRE-INTERVIEW SCREENING PROCESS Typically involves more than one person. Narrows down the applicant pool to the number to be interviewed. Uses criteria from the posting. Focuses on the letter of interest/application and the résumé. May include reference checks. On-line aptitude testing

12 HIRING PROCESS: SCREENING TO HIRE THE BEST Over all we are beginning to see a level of consistency to our hiring process. Taking the time to select the best candidate in our pools People are being hired for their skills and abilities instead of who they know.
