3 ESD Awards Oli de Weck – Outstanding Service Award, AIAA MDO Technical Committee, 5/07 Warren Seering – Frank Perkins Award, MIT (Excellence in advising and teaching), 5/07 Yossi Sheffi – PLAZA Award, Government of Aragon (most significant contribution to economic growth), 6/07 Dan Frey – Best Paper Award, ASME Design Theory and Methodology, 9/07 Hamsa Belakrishnan - T. Wilson Career Development Professorship, 9/07 Annalisa Weigel – elected an Associate Fellow AIAA Joe Sussman – elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for 2007, 10/07 Dava Newman’s Bio-Suit was named by TIME Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of the Year, 11/07 Hamsa Balakrishnan received an NSF CAREER award, 1/08 Nancy Leveson named one of 2007 top executives who had the greatest impact on the government information systems community, 2/08
