4 eRecruiting Features STUDENTS Invited to log on and fill out their profile before searching and applying for jobs – have to contact CS to be activated Encouraged to upload resumes, cover letter, after critique (HTML or PDF format) & set up ‘search agent’ Separate screens for academics, documents, work placement, advising notes All communication with students is recorded in ‘advising notes’ visible only to administrators Possible to conduct searches for students with specific skills, specific grad dates, etc., etc. Students also saved into ‘folders’ by grad date, major, status, etc.

5 eRecruiting Features EMPLOYERS In the Monroe model – majority of employers do not have direct access to the system We have started allowing employers to post their own positions and access resumes through the system Employer records contain company profile, website, contacts. Students can search by industry Student employment records are linked with employers so that a search will reveal which Monroe students/grads work for a company

6 eRecruiting Features JOBS/INTERNSHIPS All jobs & internships are connected with an employer record Jobs have a viewing period and an apply period generally set at six weeks If necessary, application criteria are set e.g. Bachelor Degree, specific major, specific GPA Students can apply directly to most positions without reference to Career Services Applications can be prescreened by Career Services if employer requests

8 eRecruiting Features COMMUNICATION One of the most useful features of the system Emails can be sent to selected groups, of employers or students/graduates Special events promoted through ‘pop-ups’ Students frequently use personal email addresses in their profile We are able to see which emails were successful and which failed Can add attachments to emails

9 eRecruiting Features REPORTING Templates have been created for frequently used reports Reports download into Excel format Reports can be created for various categories of info relating to students, employers, jobs, applications, placements, advising notes etc., etc.
