2. Why did the Brazilian community migrate to the US and when? The Brazilian community migrated to the US for several reasons, some of them are: War (between favelas) Jobs Better life conditions There is not an exact time frame, but almost one million of Brazilians moved to the USA during the last years.

3. Where did they mainly settle in the US? They settled all over the county but the biggest communities are found in Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix.

4. What were there lives like when they arrived to the US? Some suffered because they could not get jobs. And people threatened to deport them and to send them back to Brazil or didn’t accept them because they didn’t speak the same language as them. But most are happily living in the USA.

5. How did they affect the American culture? Brazilians didn’t affect the culture deeply but they did contribute on some things like: Music, Brazilian music is known world wide. (samba). Food: Brazilian restaurants are all over the US and are known for there meats.
