2 My Class I joined Long Lee Primary School in September 2012 I teach year 6 Several children in the class with SEBD I am not the SENCO / Leader of Inclusion I have identified some of the strategies that I have used in my classroom to include children with SEBD.

3 The power of positivity Praise – Verbal, Gestures, Appropriate for the child Encourage the behaviour you want to see – I like the way… Try to keep to the ratio – even though it can be hard!

4 Sticker Charts * Used to praise good behaviour Visual Positive Building up to a goal Can be over time

6 Visual Reminder and Reflection Cards * Used to make it clear a reminder / reflection has been given Visual Same every time Returned to the board afterwards – Everyone makes mistakes - Let’s put it right

7 Fair Rules of Our School Discussed with children Explained why we have these rules Non negotiable

8 Golden Time Football Friday Points are lost for breaking the Fair Rules of our School Results in less time to play football
