1. Planetary Cereal Box Project
Objective:
You will demonstrate an understanding of the planets in our solar system by:
Using research skills to discover information about the solar system
Complete a project demonstrating the information learned in a creative way

3. Perhaps… The picture on the front of the box The nutritional value
A game or activity

4. The Instructions…
You will invent a cereal which is unique and designed after one of the planets in our solar system.
Materials:
colored pencils/markers/crayons, empty cereal box, white paper or construction paper, scissors, lots of creativity.

5. Front of Box Name the Cereal - must include the planet name Picture
– cereal, something eating the cereal, planet,….
3 Descriptions of cereal
– taste, shape, color, what it does

6. Back of Box: 2 Activities
1 activity must be a word search, crossword, or other knowledge type activity using 5 or more facts or vocabulary words about the planet.
1 activity must be a cartoon, maze, hidden picture, picture to color – just fun stuff.

7. Side 1
Nutrition Facts and ingredients – be creative, you can slip in some funny stuff
Side 2
Report about the planet, - approximately 1 written page, make it fit the side of the box. 

8. All work must be NEAT, COLORFUL, ATTRACTIVE, AND ACCURATE
Extras are good, be CREATIVE. Look at cereal boxes and in your book to find information. You can also find additional information on the Internet and in reference books.
