15 Click to edit Master title style Under the new funding rules, future apprenticeship funding will no longer go directly to learning providers Payment is routed through employers, who will only receive the funding on payment of an employer contribution to the learning provider. There needs to be 1 lead provider per apprenticeship The Autumn Spending Review is expected to change/ provide more clarity - including details of the “the Apprenticeship Levy” Funding Arrangements- Interim to April 2017 (as at am on the 25 th November 2015!)

Apprenticeship Levy on Employers ?% and only recoverable by engaging with an Apprenticeship schemes Huge incentive for employers to become involved in an apprenticeship scheme – opportunities for Universities Pressure on employers to use Apprenticeship schemes rather than Cadet/Part time or other undergraduate and graduate training schemes The CITB Levy grant scheme works well in the construction Industry
