Over the course of US history, the nature of these rights have been changed by the Supreme Court. Task: Identify two Supreme Court cases that have dealt with the rights of the accused. For each case: Explain the background of the case and the constitutional issue the court had to resolve. Evaluate the extent to which the Supreme Court Decision extended or limited citizens’ rights. Discuss the effect the Supreme Court decision has for Americans today.
