4 W HAT WE DO Aging well is about having options for how and where you want to live. We promote the independence and well-being of residents who wish to remain in their communities as they grow older. Provide information and resources to empower communities, organizations and people who support the goals of aging in place. Work to ensure that aging in place membership programs can grow strong in our communities, take root quickly in others, and gain a permanent place in the American way of life.

6 W ESTCHESTER E XPERIENCE CAP + 9 programs in development since 2007; operational since 2008 940 members county wide Average # of members = 100; average age is 72+ Median Annual Membership Fee $375 for staff model ; $70 (range $30 to $100) Average operational budget $140K for paid staff model; $10K for volunteer model

7 W HAT W E ’ VE I NVESTED In Summary Time and energy For the past three years, volunteers across all programs and CAP contribute 66,000+ hours of time Market value of $1.5 million Money Conservatively - Board, volunteers, foundations and communities have donated more than $500K to AIP programs Major investment in Westchester County

8 W HAT W E ’ VE C ONTRIBUTED New Jobs Executive Directors & program coordinators Dollars – people staying at home are paying taxes Advocacy/policy development Referrals to area businesses Knowledge about aging well to members and the community Intellectual capital – volunteers and board members are highly educated and experienced
