Distrubution Brown tree snake was introduced in Australia. Snake can be found on the island of Guam.

Effects On People The consequenses for humans is that the snake is extreamly aggressive when it feels threatened. Bites repetivly, but not considerd dangerous to adult humans.

Ecoysystem The changes that have been observebd since species was introduced was that birds have been disapeiring. The island, guam, has lost about 2/3 of their birds.

Reasons For Success An objective is to reclaim areas on Guam for reintroduction of native wildlife. Also, another objective is to capture incoming brown tree snakes at places vulnerable to their introduction.

Issues For the Future New species can kill other organisms lacking coevolutionary preparation. Following its accidental arrival on Guam, the brown tree snake extirpated several bird species there by devouring their eggs with ease. The Guam birds had no defense to the nest raider.
