3 CALS Tailgate Three-Year Event Attendance Comparison 2013: Event held in Dorton Arena on NC State Fairgrounds. August 31, 2013 – noon kickoff on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. 2014: Event held on floor of PNC Arena – total includes 800 Ag Ed/4-H high school and middle school students and 200 guests from Farm Credit’s employee appreciation event. First CALS Tailgate held in conjunction with Ag Day branded football game. September 6, 2014 – 3:00 kickoff. 2015: Event held outside PNC Arena (some exhibits) and on the club level of PNC Arena. October 3, 2015 – noon kickoff. **NOTE – Event sold out two weeks before game date.

4 Total alumni attendance comparison 65% of 2015 CALS Tailgate guests attended Tailgate at least one time in previous years.

6 Summary of survey comment section: 1. What did you like most about the overall event? a. Family atmosphere that was fun and upbeat. b. Great fellowship with colleagues, families, alumni and students. c. Tailgate and AG Day Combination. d. Catering and T-Shirts e. Venue location was excellent (air conditioning and close proximity to game). a. Program f. Positive interaction with staff and students at booths. 2. What could we do to make this event better? a. Cost – With increase in cost of food and football ticket, some found it expensive. b. Exhibit Locations – Keep all in same area, not too spread out or in different locations. c. Entertainment – Bring in live entertainment and have more options for younger children

7 Ag Day Partnership Outcomes Portion of proceeds from Ag Day sponsorships help fund programming and established a need-based endowed scholarship for CALS students Help foster a better partnership with NC State athletics Created new opportunities to engage CALS corporate partners Positive PR for CALS and Agriculture to audience not only in Carter- Finley Stadium, but also via the Wolfpack Sports Network on game day Dean Linton with 2015 Ag Day Scholarship Recipient, Elizabeth Walsh ‘19
