It states in Airborne that the weather condition was sunny with a few clouds, and a breeze that was not too much wind. Also, in How to Make a Kite the text says that to fly a kite, the weather forecast should be winds neither to strong nor to calm. This evidence leads us to conclude that the weather conditions in Airborne would be manageable for flying a kite.
