9 Material needed for approach
There are some PPT and printed material that you may bring to the first meeting. You can request them at All the steps for the approach are detailed in the G-Connect folder

10 Some specifics We present ourselves as from SRCM
SRCM’s affiliation to UNDPI Approach Ministers /Secretaries/ IAS /officials /HR having a reach to a large number of people Other connects like C-Connect present themselves as SMSF. Mentioning our association with UN can be important in governmental organizations.

11 Prepare your team Once a tentative date is givne, prepare your team.
You will need to find: 1 coordinator 1 preceptor 1 person in charge of follow up If the group is not too small you can invite one person for observation and training If possible involve the person who has been the contact person for the apprach

12 Prepare your material Prepare your material well in advance:
You will need: Bookmarks with relaxation technique (in appropriate language) Rack cards for participants Notebooks and Pens Relaxation script photocopies in languages other than English if needed. Heartfulness Welcome cards Welcome Card Forms Notebooks: to be distributed to the participants to note down their findings. HFN is printing notebooks in different formats that will soon be available in all centers. You can also purchase small pocket notebooks to be distributed to all. The material should be available in your centre. If not, contact us and we will make our best to have it reach your centre as fast as possible.

13 WORKSHOPS

14 Initial sessions The first three sessions are same in all Connects: HFN workshops Some team include a specific topic to each session, like time management, stress management, Health and meditation These topics can be taken later during the follow up sessions

15 Session 1 (Day 1) Short Talk Meditation (Placebo)
Relaxation leading to Meditation with transmission Filling feedback cards Announcing the next session

16 Session 2 (Day 2) Taking up questions and clarifications from Feedback cards Relaxation leading to Meditation with transmission Signing on attendance sheet Asking for Passport photo for HFN Welcome card Announcing the next session

17 Session 3 (Day 3) Relaxation leading to Meditation with transmission
Taking up questions and clarifications if any Signing on attendance sheet Distribution of HFN Welcome cards Announcing the follow up sessions

18 Coordinator Introduces the team
Connects with the audience appropriately in a 10 min speech Keeps track of time during the entire session. Wraps up the session and invite participants for the next session. Stays in touch with the organization for further sessions and for follow up session

19 Preceptor Explains the 3 steps of the experience
Meditation on the light in the heart (10 min), noting observation in notebook Relaxation leading to Meditation on Divine light in the Heart (20 min: first sitting) noting down observation in notebook. NB: session 2 and 3 – there is no placebo meditation, only relaxation leading to meditation

20 Follow up person Makes sure that all feedback cards are returned
Enters the data and prepares the printed attendance sheet for session 2 and 3 Has 3 days to find the best way for the follow up to happen for each participant To design a person in charge of the follow up from the beginning will bring the best result to the program: it is easy to start a workshop but it is difficult to do the follow up. We MUST start each program thinking only about how we are going to sustain the practice for the participants. The strategy may vary from one group/organization to another.

21 DATA CAPTURE

22 Important There are files to be filled up on day 1 Send to
Participants will receive a Thank you and Welcome automatically

23 On day 2 Take attendance from a print of the list that you have entered Ask participants to check their details Check how many sittings they have got Create a SMS group/Whatsapp group Many in G-Connect don’t have/share s so phone numbers are important

24 On day 3 Be ready to hand over HFN Welcome cards
Fill Welcome cards number in the excel sheet from Day1 Send all the details completed again to the same addresses

25 FOLLOW UP

26 Plan Plan the follow up right from the approach phase
If you have only a 3-day session, you will need to give each participant a preceptor’s address according to their residence You may have follow up sessions in the organization, once a week, at least for 8 weeks

27 Follow up sessions You can use the ‘stages in the practice’ available on the Heartfulness Content site You may want to include a few appropriate topics according to the organization, like time management, Stress Management, Meditation and Health, Science and Spirituality… Some sample PPT will be available on the content site soon

28 Follow up sessions At the end of the follow up sessions, the participants should know the entire Sahaj Marg practice: Meditation, Cleaning, Prayer Have been connected with a local preceptor Have received and maybe visited the local satsang centre/the ashram if any.
