Prices of Natural Gas This graph shows that the prices in natural gas have drastically decreased within the last year, and will most likely level off, or slightly increase in the years to come, this is one benefit of natural gas.

The History of Natural Gas Around the years 100-125 A.D. ‘eternal fires’ were recorded, this is the oldest record of natural gas known today. 4 How is natural gas obtained? Natural gas is a natural resource and comes directly from the earth. It must be drilled out of the earth and contained to be used efficiently. Pipelines and tanks help distribute and store it.

Refining natural gas Natural gas can be refined into these useful forms of gas: Natural gas can be refined into these useful forms of gas: -Petrol -Petrol -Bitumen -Bitumen -Kerosene -Kerosene -Wax -Wax -Solvents -Solvents -Liquid Petroleum -Liquid Petroleum

Advantages of natural gas Low cost Low cost Safe Safe Clean burning Clean burning Multiple uses Multiple uses Environmentally friendly Environmentally friendly Efficient Efficient

Disadvantages of Natural Gas Flammable Non-renewable resource Requires larger and heavier storage tanks in vehicles Used faster than gasoline
