Field Test: A Practice Run of Our New Assessments 5 Provides teachers, schools, and students an opportunity to participate in a practice run of the assessment system Sets preliminary achievement standards that help track student preparedness for college and career Evolving set of guidance from… American Institute of Research (test delivery system) Smarter Balanced Consortium (created assessment) OPSI

Field Test: A Practice Run of Our New Assessments Test is not timed, and each subject area (ELA/literacy and math) is expected to take 2.5 to 4 hours to complete Because the Field Test is a “test of the test” that will result in some questions being revised or dropped, students will not receive scores. 6

HSPE, EOC, ELL, MSP, etc… By the end of school year, over 10,000 state assessments will be processed in the Sequim School District This number will increase in the coming years with additional accountability measures and systems.
