1 school year FREE Youth Running Program

2 Mighty Milers is open to and free for all U.S. schools. Also open to community centers and after school programs. Since 2004, Mighty Milers has helped hundreds of thousands of kids run millions of miles. Last school year over 150, 000 kids collectively ran over 5 million miles. The program is best suited for kids in grades K-8, but is open to all grades. Flexible & easy to implement Mighty Milers is inclusive to support children with physical and developmental challenges. The only requirement is that schools have 20 kids who will be in the program Student and staff progress is tracked on STRIDES (online database) Site staff will be trained and supported by NYRR About Mighty Milers

3 Ways to implement Mighty Milers Mighty Milers sessions can be as short as 15 minutes PE program – Kids can run/walk in PE Classroom break – teachers can take class out to run/walk as a classroom break 2 or more times a week. Recess – structure your recess by having kids run/walk After school program – kids can run/walk as a warm up to existing after-school sports or start a running club Warm up – competing sports at sites makes it challenging to start a running program. Have kids run/walk as a warm up for other sports such as: soccer, basketball, cheer leading, etc. Mighty Milers is flexible to work with your environment and students.
