Application process Supplier Engagement & Tender Compliance Technical Support Intend – 01922 658471 Normal Procurement ‘OPEN’ (SINGLE STAGE) process with Expression of Interest, Invitation to Tender (ITT) online with online questionnaires. Service Providers policies/financial accounts (only winning bidder required to provide these) and supporting documentation to be uploaded (Microsoft Office 2003 or later)

17 www.walsall.gov.uk Supplier Engagement & Tender Compliance 2.2) Structuring your answer (cross referencing and Bullet points) understand the question, be mindful there may be sub-questions within the question you may want to use bullet points to separate and develop answers use headings and paragraphs to separate different points in your answer you may need to insert information related to question even if provided for another question as one individual doesn’t read the whole submission

18 www.walsall.gov.uk Supplier Engagement & Tender Compliance 2.3) Level and Validity of detail we require Look for word count limits this is good indication of level of detail required refer to the weighting in the award criteria and use to reflect content of your response only give information relevant to the question – no other information will be evaluated or scored so don’t send it Only submit requested attachments as no others will be scored.

There is an expectation that Walsall Council contracts will include social value measures as part of their contractual performance monitoring schedules. Providers of services will be required to report on the added value that they have brought to Walsall by: This means we wish to:  Use local suppliers  Create local employment and apprenticeship opportunities for individuals who have been long term unemployed, care leavers  Create opportunities for local voluntary sector organisations and/or social enterprises  Offer work placements to local students  Support local health and well being community initiatives  Build local community capacity/social networks.
