The Chelambra bank robbery in the Malappuram district of Kerala, is considered to be one of the biggest and most sensational bank robberies in the crime history of India In a plot reminding that of films, a group of thieves robbed the bank to escape with an estimated amount of over 80 million Indian rupees In the early hours of 30 December 2007, the robbers made a hole in the floor of the South Malabar Gramin Bank and got away with 80 kilograms of gold and 2,500,000 rupees, a total value of 80 million Indian Rupees

The police say this is the biggest such heist in the city A group of robbers made off with a truck containing electronic goods worth Rs.25 crore in Delhi The truck, carrying electronic goods and machine parts from Samsung, was on its way from Indira Gandhi airport to Noida As it reached Sarita Vihar in South Delhi, it was intercepted and stopped by a car, said police sources Armed men got out of the car and beat up the driver and the helper.  Then they disabled the GPS locator of the truck and drove it off The truck is yet to be found although several police teams are on the lookout for it. Four men have been detained in the case Raids are being carried out in Mathura and other parts of western and central Uttar Pradesh. Samsung was transporting components imported from Korea that included integrated circuit and motherboard of high-end mobile phones

7 Bank heists remain unsolved mysteries
Six men looted about Rs 38 lakh from the Mumbai District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd at Ghatkopar this February Till date, not a single paisa has been recovered The anti-robbery squad of the crime branch, led by inspector Vijay Salaskar, killed Ramesh Prajapati a few days later and said he was the mastermind of the Ghatkopar heist despite earlier claims that the robbery was the handiwork of the Nadar gang
