2 Butch Cassidy Born Robert Parker, Butch Cassidy was the son of Mormon immigrants As a teenager he ran away from home and began robbing trains and banks He joined up with three other men and they started the Wild Bunch Their biggest heist was in 1889 when they stole $21,000 from a Colorado bank

3 Robbers Roost

4 The Sundance Kid Born Harry Longabough, he met Butch Cassidy in 1900
They worked out of Robbers Roost with the Wild Bunch for a few years robbing banks and trains and stealing horses

5 Etta Place Not much is known about Ms. Place
She was the main love interest of the Sundance Kid He often introduced her as his wife She stayed with Butch Cassidy and Sundance at Robbers roost

6 Fleeing the Country To escape the heat of the law Cassidy, Sundance, and Etta fled to South America There, they continued their lawlessness and exploits Not much is known after this point Many think they robbed an Argentinian bank of 12,000 pesos Some believe that Cassidy was shot by a lawman after a bank robbery in Bolivia Others believe that they returned to the United States to live quiet lives

7 The Great Train Robbery
One of the first motion pictures was The Great Train Robbery by Thomas Edison, 1903 There were quite a few other motion pictures before this, but this film is credited as being the first with and actually story The film is based on the exploits of Butch Cassidy and his gang
