1 Member Show 2015 IAEA Member Show Artist’s Template for Submissions and Instructions Member Show

2 IAEA Member Show Instructions, Page 1 You must be a current IAEA member to submit to the 2015 show, and be a member during the IAEA fall conference (November 5 – 7, 2015). Go to the Membership tab on the website if you need to join IAEA or renew your membership BEFORE proceeding with your entry materials.

3 Member Show IAEA Member Show Instructions, Page 2 Please follow the instructions on the next pages. Each artist’s submission will be judged independently, then combined for presentation at the fall conference in Lisle. Make sure to complete the entry form and send it, your artist statement, bio, and payment by the deadline. These materials were included in the Spring Mosaic, and can also be found on the IAEA website. Deadlines and fees for 2015: July 31--$10 fee August 15--$15 fee No submissions will be accepted after August 15! Mail check (made out to IAEA) or pay online (credit card) by the deadlines listed above. Checks must be mailed to Evan Plummer, IAEA Exhibitions Coordinator, at: 2529 N. 4 Member Show IAEA Member Show Instructions, Page 3 For each of the following PowerPoint slides, simply delete the instruction text and insert your own text or images. –To delete instructional text, select the text and hit the delete key. –To insert an image, Select “Insert” on the main menu, then “picture,” then browse to your computer folder or camera and select the image file. NOTE: If using a Mac, do NOT drag and drop images—they don’t always transfer to PC format. You may enter up to 10 images for the show (see information about show theme in the Show Information link under the Member Show tab on the website and in the “Call for Entries” in the spring issue of the IAEA Mosaic newsletter). JPEG requirements are on page 3 of this template.

5 Member Show IAEA Member Show Instructions, Page 4 NO SINGLE INSERTED JPEG IMAGE SHOULD EXCEED 1024x768 pixels in size. Crop out all unnecessary areas, including mats and frames. Please remove glass, acetate, or plexiglass coverings before photographing the work. DO NOT change font style or size! DO NOT add background, animations or timing! 6 Member Show IAEA Member Show Instructions, Page 5 Artist Statement You should also email a 300 word maximum statement about your artwork, creative process, the significance of your work to you as an artist, and how the artwork relates to the central theme of this year’s member show. Focus on your artistic intent, your process, your materials, and some descriptive examples of your strongest work.

19 Member Show Submission Instructions The Power Point and artist statement will be uploaded onto the IAEA Member Show Entry form along with your payment (if paid with credit card), or the payment may be mailed (see slide 2, page 1). The Entry Form includes your artist info, artwork inventory and artist release. YOU MUST BE A CURRENT IAEA MEMBER TO SUBMIT. If you are NOT a member, go to the membership link on the website - do this BEFORE completing your entry form. For more information about the show, go to the Information page on the website under Member Show tab and in the “Call for Entries” in the spring IAEA Mosaic.

20 Member Show Submission Instructions SUBMISSIONS AND PAYMENT DEADLINES: Early deadline (by July 15 = $10.00 fee paid online or via check made out to IAEA and mailed) Final deadline (by August 15 = $15.00 fee paid online or via check made out to IAEA and mailed) No submissions accepted after August 15 (online or postmark) Mail check to Evan Plummer (address on slide 3 and on entry form) Title your PowerPoint with your first & last name and “IAEA Member Show” Attach/import PowerPoint to your entry form (must be included to complete submission)
