2 Abstract המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory 2 The project goal is to implement a complete multi-camera surveillance system using a DSP. The DSP is to compress (H.263 standard) the video-streams received from the cameras and perform motion detection. A data-stream containing compressed video and detection information is transmitted to a PC. The data-stream is decoded and displayed. Relevant video segments are automatically saved to files.

4 Specification המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory Hardware - TI TMS320C6000 Imaging Developer’s Kit including: * TMS320C6711 DSK with 16Mbytes SDRAM * Video Daughter-card * Video Camera Software - DSP program for real-time data transmitting through Mcbsps. - PC program for real-time encoding of data, video displaying, alerting, and saving of relevant video segments. The PC program is based on a basic non real-time H.263 encoder. 4
