2 So You Got An iPad…Now What? You’ve begged, borrowed, and pleaded and now you have your very own iPad! So how are you going to use this awesome tool with your students who are visually impaired? Well, plenty! We have organized the presentation into the nine areas of the ECC and how you, the TVI, can best serve your students with the iPad. Additionally, you will learn how to use the iPad for assessment. That’s where the “me” comes in.

3 The iPad for the Low Vision Learner During our session we are going to refer to accessibility options for learners who are low vision. The options that will be discussed are: Zoom Accessibility Screen enlarging with finger gestures

4 The iPad for The Learner Who is Blind During our session we are going to refer to accessibility options for learners who are blind. The option that will be discussed is: VoiceOver (with/without refreshable Braille). ***Of course VoiceOver can be used with the learner who is low vision, but for the purpose of this presentation we will separate the two types of learners.
