8 Self-assessment is when you decide how well you are doing and consider what you need to do to get to the next level. Self-assessment In this piece of work to attain Level 4 in Geography you will have:- Clearly recognised features of places eg. jagged mountains, densely populated cities, river meanders, dense tropical forests or picturesque villages. Appreciated locations by giving a grid reference, longitude or latitude or distance from other places. Used primary and secondary sources of information Communicated using geographical vocabulary In this piece of work to attain a Level 5 in Geography you will have: Described physical (natural) and human characteristics of places and using in-depth knowledge and a clear location. Presented well-written information and used illustrations making sure that you have used primary and secondary sources. Used appropriate geographical vocabulary. To attain a Level 6 you would be starting to analyse ideas in detail and explain the processes which created the features you have described.
