3 Facilities Information Management System Mission Window (Buildings, Trailers, OSF’s) Mission Unique Facility (New) Mission Unique Facilities are defined as one-of-a kind, physically unique, large-scale, technically complex, long-lived operations that are critical resources to the mission of the DOE and to the nation. They are essential in order for DOE to deliver on its core mission. They are not easily reconfigurable for alternate use. Defaults to ‘Not Mission Unique’ Pick list data element that will include options that are HQ Program Office approved Mission Unique Facilities Contains three existing FIMS fields Mission Dependency, Mission Dependent Program, and Core Capabilities (formerly called Capabilities) Deployed on March 13, 2014

4 Facilities Information Management System Hazard Category & Security Hazard Category Hazard Category has been expanded to include the options of Nanoparticle, Biosafety Levels 1-4, and Beryllium The option to select multiple categories will be provided in a future release Deployed on March 13, 2014 Security (New) Addresses (Yes/No) if the asset or element thereof is subject to security measures beyond property protection and/or the asset is included in an area subject to protection beyond property protection. Property protection and beyond property protection are defined in DOE O 473.3. Defaults to ‘No’ for all assets. Required for buildings, trailers, and OSF’s (all ownerships) Deployed on March 19, 2014

6 Facilities Information Management System Condition Window (Buildings, Trailers, OSF’s) Overall Asset Condition (New) Pick list field with options of: Adequate, Substandard, and Inadequate. Replaces the current Summary Condition in FIMS. Condition Notes (New) High level overview of how the condition of the asset is impeding the mission. Required for Substandard and Inadequate Overall Asset Condition selections. Modernization Cost (New) Optional data element that represents improvements to an asset that result in better quality of work, increased capacity, and extended useful life

7 Facilities Information Management System Condition Window (Buildings, Trailers, OSF’s) Optional Uniformat Table Rating (New) – Pick list that will provide options of Adequate, Substandard, Inadequate, and N/A Repair Needs (New) – Cost associated with the Uniformat II category Other Data Element Impacts Year Built and Year Acquired will be moved to the Property Detail window Model Building and Seismic Comments for building and trailers will be moved to the Building/Trailer Info window

10 Facilities Information Management System Utilization Window (Buildings & Trailers) Gross Square Feet and Usable Sqft Existing FIMS data elements. Net Usable Sqft will be renamed to Usable Sqft. Asset Utilization % % Utilized – Current FIMS Utilization data element Utilization Level (New) – Will be system generated using one of the following categories: Over Utilized, Fully Utilized, Under Utilized, and Not Utilized Space Type Utilization % % Utilized (New) – Will be system generated Utilization Level (New) – Will be system generated using one of the following categories: Over Utilized, Fully Utilized, Under Utilized, and Not Utilized

Space Types (New) Optional section to capture information on High Bay, Ventilation Intensive, Power Intensive, General – Wet, General – Dry, Office and Storage space For each space type, the following will be available for entry Space Type Usable Sqft (New) Space Type Utilization % (New) Space Alternatively Used (New)
