2 March 27, 20142 Deferred Maintenance/Repair Needs August 1, 2014 –Begin input of FY14 Deferred Maintenance and Repair Needs –Previous Deferred Maintenance and Repair Needs values will be removed September 30, 2014 –FY14 Deferred Maintenance and Repair Needs are due in FIMS October 2, 2014 –FY14 Deferred Maintenance/Repair Needs Headquarters snapshot will be taken –The FY14 Deferred Maintenance and Repair Needs values will be frozen until FY14 Year-end snapshot is generated

3 March 27, 20143 Actual Maintenance/ Op Cost October 1, 2014 –Begin input of FY14 Actual Maintenance and Operating Cost –Previous Actual Maintenance and Operating Cost values will be removed November 7, 2014 –All FY14 data updates are due in FIMS November 10, 2014 –Operating Cost allocation will be performed –FY14 Year-end snapshot will be taken Serves as the source for the Federal Real Property Profile submission which is due December 15, 2014 Dont forget to circle these important dates in your calendar….

4 March 27, 20144 User Account Review January 2015 –Ask all FIMS Field Office System Administrators to review FIMS account access –Each FIMS Field Office System Administrator should: –Run Standard Report #71 (User Report) –Review for inactive users who no longer require access to FIMS –Delete users who no longer require access –Notify HQ FIMS System Administrators so that deleted users can be removed from the email distribution list –Requirement is driven by the FIMS annual certification and accreditation review which allows FIMS to operate on the DOE network

5 March 27, 20145 Key Points to Remember In general, the FIMS fiscal year is extended until November 7, 2014. The period between Oct 1 through Nov 7 is just an extension of FY14. No FY15 dispositions should be archived in FIMS until after the November 10 Year-end snapshot is generated Any asset archived between Oct 1 – Nov 7 will count towards the FY14 bank as long as the Disposition Date is within FY14 FY14 Data Entries –No FY15 data updates until after the Nov 10 snapshot –No FY15 new assets should be added until after the Nov 10 snapshot
