3 Introduction RDW ‘RDW, is the national vehicle and driver registration authority responsible for the safety and environmental aspects of the vehicle fleet in the Netherlands. In addition, the RDW registers the data of vehicles, their owners and the corresponding documents issued.’ Agency of the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management The four main tasks of the RDW are: Admission of vehicles and vehicle components Supervision and control Registration and information provision Document issuing (a.o. driving licenses)
