3 A knight is one of the three types of soldiers, and is a single foot soldier or an archer could not stand up to a knight. They could also plow through foot soldiers standing in the way. Knights also usually had the most money out of the three. Knights amour is very expensive, and sometimes knights would pay for their own shields. A knight must learn how to ride a horse one-handed. No knight is ever gentle they must be tough. When knights captured a city, they would be able to loot things in that city from the townspeople. You must become a squire before you become a knight. For practice, squires do not use real swords. When squires become a knight, they must pray all night, and not fall asleep. Knights

People eat rotten meat and goose. The cook had to taste the meat for poison so the king wouldn’t get poisoned. Sometimes knights would wield maces. You had to follow special laws every day, and sometimes you couldn’t come home for days, months and even years! If you look out the wind hole of the giant keep, all you can see is the moat and meadows. If you see horses and knights charging towards the castle, you would tell your servant to tell your defenders to prepare for a siege. For a joust, the king watches while two lances smash together at full force, and one man will fall to the ground. To be a monk, you must become an oblate first. To become an oblate, you have to be given the monastery by your father. A winter hour was about 60 min, but a summer hour was about 150 min.
