Agenda and Outcomes ■Review data-use and purpose of Iowa TIER ■Review questions answered by data in Iowa TIER ■Review data available in current Iowa TIER graphs Agenda

PURPOSE OF IOWA TIER

Iowa TIER ■Iowa TIER was developed to support Iowa schools’ use of an MTSS school improvement process. ■Currently, Iowa TIER houses reading universal screening data and progress monitoring data for students in preschool through grades 6. ■It is required that K-3 reading screening data are uploaded.

Question: How does our performance compare to…?

FUTURE OF IOWA TIER DATA USE

Iowa TIER Continue to build additional reports to support schools’ use of data in improving: ■Universal Tier Instruction ■Targeted Tier Instruction ■Intensive Tier Instruction Expand system to support other data components (e.g. behavior)
