3. What it does In the 1930s the Ballona Creek corridor was channelized in concrete,[2] thus greatly reducing the inflow of salt water to the marsh[2] It eliminates spring floods which brings freshwater to the wetlands

4. The Community students from Loyola Marymount University’s Seaver College of Science and Engineering have been monitoring the water in the Ballona Wetlands data will be used to assess the levels of organic pollutants in the wetland
