3. The first basket ball was invented in 1909. To make the game even better they invented the backboard in 1895. Then they invented the metal rim in 1893. Then the basketball was made lighter in to increase speed and accuracy in 1913.

4. James Naismith was born in November 6, 1861 in Almonte,Ontarios. His parents died of typhoid fever. He lived with his grandparents. When his grandparents died he moved in with his uncle. Then when he was in college he was announced 1 of the top 10 athletes in the school. So he decided to make a game and so basketball was made.
