2 Calculator Use - Basic When you take out the Casio fx-260 calculator, it will automatically react to the light and you will normally see a “0” in the display panel along with the letters DEG. This means the calculator is in its default function for basic computations. If it does not display DEG and a “0,” you should press the key. This will return your calculator to the computation mode.

5 Calculator Use - Fractions
You can find the answers to fraction problems by using the a b/c key on the Casio fx-260 calculator. It is the first key in the second row of keys.

Enter the fraction 5/6 by: Entering the number 5 Pressing the fractions - a b/c – button Entering the number 6 You should now see 5_| 6 on the display. This is how the Casio fx shows fractions.

To enter the mixed number : Enter the whole number – 2 Press the fractions key Enter the numerator – 5 Enter the denominator – 8 Your display should now show 2_|5_|8. This is how the Casio fx shows a mixed number.

Convert improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa Enter the improper fraction 16/3 and press the fractions key. Leave the mixed number on the screen. Press the shift key followed by the fractions key.
