Against the milky way, we are just a speck of dust in the wind on the Orion arm. The Milky way galaxy has rotated about 50 times.

The solar system is made up of 9 planets and two asteroid belts, earth is the third planet from the sun, it is 149,600,000km away

The sun is a gigantic ball of hydrogen and helium, you can fit 1 million earths inside of the sun, but if you thought that was big you haven't seen anything, there are some red stars that are 1 million times as big! This is earth compared to the sun

The inner planets include, in order from the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. Earth is the only planet

The outer planets in the solar system in order from the sun are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

There are two asteroid belts in the solar system, the main asteroid belt, in the middle of Mars and Jupiter, and the Kuiper belt, outside Neptune.

Pluto was the first planet to be seen from earth through a telescope But people didn’t realise it was a planet until 1930! Pluto is the largest dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt

The diameter of Pluto is 2320 km about 2/3 the size of our moon. Pluto is either above or below all the planets but still goes around the sun. It takes over 248 years to orbit the sun!!! The temperatures of Pluto range from -240 degrees Celsius to -218 degrees Celsius. Pluto is 5,913,520,000km away from the sun!!

Pluto has 3 moons Charon which is the biggest of the moons, and in 2005 two more moons were discovered, Nix and Hydra. Charon is the largest at about half the diameter Hydra Nix

The symbol for Pluto is a monogram made up of P and L of Pluto and also the initials of the astronomer, Percival Lowell, who predicted it’s discovery.
