Low public Investment Concentration on production rather than full value chain Concentration on inputs only at the expense of research Extension services Infrastructural development Planning, priority and target setting Reliable data generation and reporting Proper monitoring and evaluation Value Chain: Production, processing, storage & Marketing Extension services: an informal educational process directed toward the rural population, offering advice and information to help solve their problems and improve their livelihoods. THE WAY FORWARD What if there is a technological solution that: Aids in the planning & prioritization process eliminating the need for a Consultant and expensive Business Plans; Replicate proven profitable farming practices and simplify them into daily/weekly tasks; Assist the farmer in efficiently monitoring farm operations whilst generating necessary reports; Assist farmers in purchasing inputs(Fingerlings/Feed) at very low prices; Provide a ready market for all harvests when ready for sale.
