East Northamptonshire Council Landfill taxes Created in 1997, over £700m raised 2003 directed to fund community and environment projects within 10 miles of landfill site (some now limit to 5) In East Northamptonshire, Cory, SITA, Hanson, Shanks, Biffa, King’s Cliffe, Thornhaugh

East Northamptonshire Council Charitable Trusts Can be geographically limited Often have set themes to support Grants given can range from very small to very large Are usually only available to charitable bodies, BUT some accept not-for-profit
