7 San Diego Crew Classic ROAD MAP for Growth 7 Changing our Mission, Vision and Values –The San Diego Crew Classic, hosting the rowing community’s finest event in America’s finest city –Stated goals of sponsoring community rowing in SD and funding our US team; 5 year goal of building a community aquatics center Revamped layout of regatta to attract more alumni; put the tents on the beach –Building out PR and Media plan to become an event –Looking to attract college and Jr. Crews for Winter and Spring break stays; University Minnesota committed; dual racing on Friday Professional fund development to attract “naming” sponsors and build out specific brands associated with the regatta; i.e. BNY Mellon @ HOCR 5 year marketing roadmap Establishing a late fall event similar to HOCR; can easily surpass CC for number of competitors (November time frame); Fall Classic exists Coastal Rowing Demonstration; New event in World Rowing –Crew Classic looking to host a World Cup event in 2016 Hosting US Rowing Convention in 2016
