2 Location The Tundra lies in between the North Pole and the Taiga.
The following areas are located in the Arctic Tundra: Greenland, Canada, Scandinavia, Siberia and Northern Alaska.

4 Animals The Arctic Tundra includes various types of animals including: caribou, deer, bears, foxes, wolves, hares and shrews. These animals must be well adapted to this cold dry climate. There are only about 48 species of land mammals in the Arctic Tundra.

6 Climate in The Tundra It is very cold and dry in this biome.
Actually, it is the coldest and the driest biome in the world. It rains less than ten inches a year. Sometimes the temperatures can reach as low as -94 degrees F and in the summers can reach a high of 55 degrees F.

7 Plants The Arctic Tundra plants consist of about 1700 species of moss, grass, lichens, sedges, and shrubs. The soil is fertilized by animal droppings, but has low nutrients. Permafrost prevents trees from growing in the Arctic Tundra.
