2. The Open Book Paper This counts as part of your coursework. It is worth 15% of your total AS mark (7.5% of A2) You have a two week period to complete it – this is non – negotiable!

5. The Open Book Paper Throughout the whole exercise, keep on re- reading the questions and instructions to keep in touch with what is required. Divide the 1000 words 'reasonably' between the questions, bearing in mind the weighting (marks) for each question Use sub-headings, pictures and diagrams to break up the report into manageable sections and add interest, variety and above all keep it highly ORGANISED Don't include anything that does not match the questions

The Open Book Paper References to Chemical Ideas, Storylines and Activities are fine; try to get at least 1 more from other books and 1 from the internet BUT make sure they are clearly of use and interest AND accurately annotated - details count like full web address, page number of book etc., even the articles themselves and section should be clearly shown - vague references do NOT gain marks. Apart from making sure your references are fully and clearly indicated and annotated in the script, don't forget to include the list at the end
