3 Danish energy statistics used for Emission Inventories The National Environmental Research Institute in Denmark works out the emission inventory The Danish Energy Authority aggregates fuel consumption rates to SNAP source categories

4 Danish national approach CO 2 emission from combustion of the plastic part of municipal waste is included in the Danish national approach inventory Non-energy use of fuels is not included in the Danish national approach yet. Fuel consumption for flaring in refineries included in emission inventory but not in energy statistics

5 Danish reference approach Two corrections are made to the reference approach in the CRF to make the data comparable to the national approach: The non-energy use of fuels is subtracted The CO 2 emission from incineration of municipal waste is added
