3 Short investigation into the life and writing of Lucille Clifton. Investigation Questions: 1. What was the author’s childhood like? 2. What are the highlights of her writing career?

4 On a three by five card you will answer each of these questions by finding three sound pieces of information that address the subject of each inquire. Each piece of information needs to be supported by a sound reference, which indicates where you got your information from. The investigation will be followed up by a short four paragraph essay : 1. Introduction 2. 1 st body paragraph- Question 1 3. 2 nd body paragraph- Question 2 4. Conclusion

8 Conclusion- Restate your thesis statement and wrap up/show how you have proven your thesis statement. Personal Purple- Put your own personal feelings about what you have learned about you subject matter and how it affected you.
