North Korea’s Leader Is Seriously Ill, U.S. Intelligence Officials Say                                                                                                                                                         Government of North Korea: The Government of North Korea is Communist. The Leader Of this government is Kim Jong il.

3 Famous Places: Some famous places in North Korea include: The Arch Of Reunification, the Tower Of Juche Idea, The extinct volcano Paekdusan near the Chinese and North Korean borders, and the Pagoda at Punhwangsa, which is the last standing pagoda in North Korea.

4 Physical features Of North Korea:
The physical features of North Korea include: The Korean Peninsula, Yellow sea, The Korean Bay, and the Sea Of Japan.

5 Economy: Agriculture: Industries: Rice, Corn, Potatoes, Soybeans

6 Culture: some major religions in North Korea are Buddhist, Confucius, and some Christian. The North Korean culture was highly influenced by the Buddhist culture, thus most of the people there are following Buddhist traditions.( wearing clothing etc. )

7 Famous People: Queen Sondok- Reigned as queen in the Silla Dynasty from A.D ( Also Known as the female hero.) King Sejong- Reigned as king of North Korea from He was widely Known across North Korea for creating the alphabet “Hangul”. ( Also known as “Sejong The Great.”) Yu Kwan-Sun- A famous independence fighter in North Korea that encouraged other women to fight for equal rights. She was killed by the torture she received in a Japanese prison.

8 Climate: North Korea’s climate is temperate with rainfall concentrated in Summer. ( summer monsoonal month)

9 Major Achievements: Korean war which lasted from June 25th July 27th 1953. They have a strong nuclear weapon program (although NATO has forbidden ongoing nuclear weapons development. ) Last year North Korea reported a rice harvest of 4.4 million tons.

Black Market Disease: Cholera, Malaria, Diphtheria, Smallpox, HIV/AIDS Food shortages Poverty

Black Market- An illegal market in which illegal sales take place. ( such as: slavery and human flesh.) NATO- (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) A military alliance of Europe and North America.
