1 Connecting to the eTeacher FTP on Windows 7/Vista eTeacherGroup 2010

2 General The FTP server is used to store presentations and other contents for classes. In this presentation we will explain how to set up communication with this server, and how to allow comfortable work routine with this server.

3 Entering “Computer” Click on the “start” button and then select “Computer“ or “My Computer”.

4 Creating a new network location Right click on any blank section inside the Computer window to reveal the pop-up menu. From the pop-up menu select "Add Network Place".

5 Creating a new network location After the wizard opens click on next, on the next page mark the option ‘Choose another…’ and press Next.

6 Under ‘Internet or network address’ type the server address (ftp://teachersftp.eteachergroup.com) and click next. Uncheck the ‘Log on anonymously’ checkbox and in the username field write pptftp, then click on next. Creating a new network location

7 This field is optional and allows us to change the network location name (you can change it to "eTeacher FTP" instead of the numbers that are written). Click Finish. Creating a new network location

8 At this stage the eTeacher FTP will open. Enter the password: ngrlahgur Make sure to check the Save Password option! Click on Log On. Creating a new network location

9 Accessing the FTP You can now access the FTP directly from the “Computer” window.

10 Copying the network Location to the desktop In order to create a desktop shortcut for the FTP right click on the FTP icon inside the “Computer” window and from the pop-up menu choose Send to -> Desktop.
