The purpose of this project is to determine who has a better memory, males or female? The reason why this is important is because if you had something to be reminded of you would know who to ask, a male or female.
4
We hypothesize that females will have better memory than males. We believe this because in school males seem to have to be reminded to do things.
5
96 pieces of paper 16 pencils 5 words list of 15 words each
6
Manipulated: Male or Female. Responding: How many words correct
7
Constant: - number of words on each list. - time to look at the words. - time to recall and write the words down. Variables
8
1. Create 5 different words list with 15 words each. 2. Give out one piece of paper to every test subject. 3. Lay one list on the over head. 4. Leave on over head for 1 minute while test subject study.
9
5. Remove list after 1 minute. 6. Write down how many words they can remember in 3 minutes. 7. Collect papers, Count and record number of correct words. 8. Repeat 1-7 for 4 more trials.

Our hypothesis was correct. Females have better memory. The average memory recall of the females was 7.23 words. The average memory recall of the males was 6.84 words. If we repeated this experiment, we would change the amount of males. If we did this experiment again we would make sure there were an equal amount of males and females.
