1 Immigration in the United States Today’s Objective: We will determine the various factors that brought immigrants to the United States during the late 1800s and early 1900s, and how did the rise in immigrant populations impact life in the United States? On a clean sheet of paper copy and answer the following questions: 1.Why do you think immigrants came to the United States in the late 1800s and early 1900s. 2.Do you think that most immigrants had a positive experience once they arrived? Explain.

2 Create the following chart on your paper, below the warm up question: Place of Origin Reasons for Immigration Experience in the United States Europe Asia Mexico Remember….make it large enough and neat enough so that you have room to write your responses!
