1 Office of Sponsored Programs OSP serves as the institutional authorized officials on behalf of the Trustees of Boston University when working with funders of sponsored research Our role is: – Proposal review and submission – Award review, negotiation and acceptance – Issue subcontracts – Review, negotiate and accept Industry agreements, Clinical Trials and incoming Material Transfer Agreements – Collaborate with Post Award Financial Operations in the life cycle support of your awards

2 Office of Sponsored Programs – cont’d The OSP team has 14 Research Administrators (RA’s) located at 25 Buick Street on the Commonwealth Ave. Each Department is assigned to a specific Senior Research Administrator in OSP This RA distribution can be found on the contact OSP page on our website http://www.bu.edu/osp/contact- us/http://www.bu.edu/osp/contact- us/ Proposals should reach OSP 5 business days before the deadline to ensure proper review and compliance checks – For more complex proposals, please reach out early to your RA/SRA to discuss and share information
