Review of Part B, Ch 2, Annex B – Commander’s Decision Cycle: Renamed Cross-Functional Elements  Cross-Functional Organizations Formally defined (7) Cross-Functional Organizations : Board, Planning Group, Team, Working Group, Element, Cell, and Center Deleted Bureau. Currently listed organizations need to be renamed and categorized correctly

Review of Appendix 2 – CTF Planning Organizations Renamed the staff Organization: C5 Plans = C5 Renamed Future Current Ops (FOPS) = C35 Renamed Current Ops (COPS) = C33 Included CONPLAN (contingency plan) as one of the planning documents Recommend updated Figure B-2-B-2.1 Deleted Figure B-2-B confusing and doesn’t help Task for each organizations was limited to the “planning” aspect Removed tasks not specifically related to planning

Review of Appendix 3 – Multinational Staff Coordination Processes (Cross Functional Organization) Did not specifically review all 69 Organizational Templates Recommended that this be performed during MNF SOP Conference 19

Review of Appendix 4 – CTF Battle / Operational Rhythm Reorganized the structure and flow of the information listed Removed definition paragraph and listed the concise definition in the overview paragraph and referenced the definition in the glossary Removed a duplicated diagram Group was unable to update figures as they were pictures. Recommend MPAT update these based on comments in Tracked Changes

Additions to the glossary Chair The designated representative, appointed by the COS to lead a Cross-Functional Organization. Responsibilities include presiding over and directing meetings; defining the and the scope of the organization, and ensuring that all organizational task are completed Facilitator Formally appointed to assist the Chair in planning , conduct, and administrative support to meetings. The facilitator should be the primary POC for the respective organization

Review C-1 to C-9 organization in the MNF Countries have different staff especially from C7-C9 Holistic review of the MNF SOP To delete repetitive parts To have a more logical sequence of the parts Updates of the acronyms Review of the validity, currency, and naming conventions of all Cross-Functional Organizations and Organizational Templates To align with the recent changes Update the Information Management section and add a Knowledge Management section IM is overdue for review ; last updated: 1 Dec 09.

Develop an app for the MNF SOP to be downloaded via PEDs vice solely available via APAN (Proposed by Nigel…. 1 star awarded)

13 Suggestions Two (2) projectors and screens per group
One for updating the MNF SOP, other to view references at the same time MPAT Secretariat needs to budget for hip pocket handbooks of updated MNF SOP for distribution Publish and send to all participating MNF nations Encourage participating MNF nations to maintain continuity by sending the same participants to more than one MPAT activity
