4. Why should I participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium? Oral communication skills are key to future success A chance to develop communication skills in front of a friendly audience Share your hard earned knowledge with your peers, friends and family

5. Why will I get from participating in the Undergraduate Research Symposium? Constructive feedback on your presentations Build your curriculum vitae Maybe even a prize!

6. What are the eligibility requirements? Student has conducted research of a biological nature as an undergraduate enrolled at UPRM Internships Other departments Now a grad student

7. What are the presentations like? Can be in either English or Spanish 12 minute oral PowerPoint presentations followed by 3 minutes for questions Will contain all the parts of a scientific paper: Introduction and Background Methods Results Discussion and Conclusion

8. What do I need to do to participate?
